1st Annual Scarecrow Festival

Saturday, October 14th, 2023 10:00 AM – 4:00 PM

The Townsend Historical Society is pleased to announce the institution of a new autumn tradition, the Scarecrow Festival. At the festival, participants will display handmade scarecrows. The festival will also feature a pie contest, a scavenger hunt, live music, and other seasonal activities. Join us on Townsend Common to celebrate the season.

Annual Membership Meeting

Sunday, November 5th, 2023, 2:00 PM

The THS will host our Annual Membership Meeting on November 5th, location TBD. We will discuss THS endeavors, enjoy a live performance, and socialize with fellow history enthusiasts. All members of the THS are cordially invited to attend.

Holiday Open House

Sunday, December 3rd, 2023, Time TBA.

The Townsend Historical Society invites you to our holiday open house. Enjoy tours of the museum, cookies cooked in our hearth, and shop for last minute presents in our shop.
