Thanks Eileen!! Beautifully written!
Love, Lindsay
In your list of men who served under Captain Hosley you have listed James Slan. I believe if you check Sawtelle’s book you will see that name is actually James Sloan. Can this be corrected?
Thanks – I will have someone check and correct that – Bill Rideout
Interesting Sharon! I learned a lot!
Very informative and interesting article…. Thank you Sharon!
Do you have this as a book .
Unfortunately, we don’t have this as a book. There is a great deal of information about the Reed Homestead on our documents page at https://townsendhistoricalsociety.org/documents/ under the Historic Structure Report – Reed Homestead – June 1987. – Bill Rideout, treasurer@townsendhistoricalsociety.org
Thank you for all your work and investigation inside and outside. Very interesting reading. Well done.
People who have worked over the years in the Historical Society would be pleased with your accomplishments.
We hope to visit sometime this year. A wonderful addition to Townsend.

What a great gift. I grew up in the Harbor. And I love that area.
